Wind River Reservation – Tribal Traffic Safety Messaging

Motor vehicle injuries are the leading cause of death among Native Americans in the U.S. In an effort to save lives and promote healthy communities, the Wyoming Department of Transportation partnered with Hispanidad to create campaigns designed to resonate effectively with tribal members. Building on the importance of culture and belonging, the individuals featured in these ads are respected members of both the Northern Arapaho and Eastern Shoshone tribes, living on the Wind River Reservation. These samples represent a variety of successful messaging approaches created, and launched,  over the past seven years.
